Orbit is built so we know as little about you as possible. This page is the proof. It covers what we store, why we store it, where it lives, and how to remove it.
01What we store
Your Cybernaut account is anonymous by design. When you sign up, we generate a random
identifier (the Cybernaut ID, e.g. cyb_8f3a91c4d2c1a40e) and link
it to keys returned by your chosen identity providers.
02What we don't store
We deliberately avoid collecting things we don't need. We do not store your email address, display name, real name, profile picture, IP address, browser fingerprint, precise location, or any data your identity provider returns beyond the opaque user key.
03What we share
Cybernaut apps you sign into receive a JWT containing your Cybernaut ID and the scopes you authorized. Nothing else. We do not share any data with advertisers, analytics vendors, or third parties of any kind.
Orbit has no advertising integrations and never will. There is nothing to opt out of because we never opted in.
04Where your data lives
All Orbit data is stored on Google Cloud (GCE Central, us-central1). Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Provider keys are hashed before storage; the raw keys are never logged.
05Sessions & cookies
Orbit uses stateless JWT sessions. We don't track devices, IP addresses, or browser fingerprints. The only cookie we set is a single first-party session token; we use no third-party cookies, pixels, or trackers.
06Deletion
You can delete your Cybernaut account from the dashboard at any time. After deletion:
- Your account enters a 14-day recovery window. You can restore it in full during this period.
- After 14 days, the Cybernaut ID and all provider keys are permanently purged.
- Cybernaut apps that depended on your account will stop recognizing you on their next token check.
- Activity logs are dropped on the same schedule (within 90 days regardless).
07Your rights
You can export your account data, request a copy of the activity log, or delete your account
at any time without contacting us. For anything else, including data subject requests under
GDPR or CCPA, write to [email protected].
08Universal credits
Orbit may introduce universal credits — a single balance tied to your anonymous Cybernaut ID that you can spend anywhere in the Cybernaut ecosystem, rather than a balance locked to one app. This is a planned feature; here is the data it will involve, so you're informed before it launches.
- Balance and ledger: your current balance and a record of purchases and spends — amount, which app, and timestamp — tied to your Cybernaut ID, never your name or email.
- Payments: if you buy credits, a third-party payment processor handles the transaction. Orbit stores only a processor reference and your resulting balance — never your card number or billing address.
- Apps you spend in: a Cybernaut app sees the transaction it initiates and your resulting balance, so it can deliver what you bought — not your purchase history in other apps.
- Deletion: during the 14-day recovery window your balance is restored with your account; after permanent deletion it is purged and forfeited.
Credits don't change our core promise: Orbit still stores no name, email, or payment details — only an anonymous balance and ledger.
09Changes to this policy
Material changes are announced 30 days in advance via the dashboard and a notice on the
Orbit landing page. Trivial fixes (typos, link updates) are made without notice. Every
revision is logged at orbit.cybernaut.app/legal/changelog.
